About the artist
James Hollin was born in Northampton in 1944 where he lived until moving just outside the town to the village of Gayton in 1978. Since 2001 he has lived in the nearby village of Long Buckby.
He began painting professionally in 1975 and over the years has exhibited with the Northampton Town and County Art Society and at various other venues around the county. He has also exhibited in London at the Tate Gallery and the Royal Overseas League in St James’ Place.
James’ paintings exist in a number of private collections around the UK and Europe.
His studio is based in the Northamptonshire countryside where he continues to work in oils and watercolours covering a wide variety of subjects.
